Rebecca Brunner from The Voice Season 13

Rebecca Brunner from Season 13 released “photocopy,” a single she calls “insanely special to me” on Friday. She calls it her first solo single release, but what makes it so special is the topic. Rebecca explains: “For years I wanted to write a song about my dad but I’d write song after song and nothing ever felt right. Until this song. I wrote this song with my two friends @dennisjcook615 & @tylerwardmusic who also lost a parent. My dad died of cancer and I wish so badly I got more time with him. But my prayer is that my dad lives on through my art and others can hear this song and they aren’t alone is their grief.” Working with The Song House in Nashville, Rebecca scored a hit last year with a single called “Round Hole” that now has more than 6 million streams on Spotify alone. She also made the Top 55 on American Idol Season 21, but we never got to see her perform on the show.

He’s back with a new single called “Run Away.” Says Samuel: “This song has been filled with lots of joy and hard work. I can’t wait for this song to be a part of so many peoples’s late night drives, wake n bakes, beach days, summer parties and so much more!”
