Earlier, American Idol’s Season 8 champ told People.com that “Waves” was the first song he wrote for the new album and “definitely inspired” the rest of the album.
That album, “Letting You In,” hit iTunes last month.
Kris also just wrapped up the first half of his “Letting You Go” tour.
The second half kicks off April 29 at the City Winery in Nashville. Oh, and it’ll include stops in Philly and D.C.
Kris will perform at World Cafe Live in Philly on Tuesday, June 7. Tickets are $19 (standing room only) and $29. Head here for more info.
And he’ll make a stop at The Hamilton in D.C. the next night. Tickets are $15 and $25 and available here.
For a complete list of tour dates, visit Kris’ website. Luke Wade, a standout on Season 8 of The Voice, will open as several upcoming shows, but not those on the East Coast.
Oh, and if you’d like to hear two great up-tempo songs from the new album — “Moves” and “Faster Shoes” — head here.
