It’s a song about the difficulty of being separated from someone you love. And while I can’t find a copy of Ryan singing the song to embed, it’s an impressive debut.
There’s more Ryan Quinn music coming, in the form of a debut EP.
That will be out in late September. In fact, Ryan is planning a CD release party at the Stanley Theater in Utica, N.Y., for Tuesday, Sept. 27.
Tickets range from $10 to $20 and go on sale to the public on Wednesday.
It’ll also be a farewell party of sorts for Ryan, he announced on Facebook recently. He’s moving to L.A. to pursue his music career and this will mark his final performance in central New York before doing so.
Ryan, from Westmoreland, N.Y., was 25 when he auditioned for The Voice with Eric Clapton’s “Can’t Find My Way Home.” He turned four chairs, one of just a handful of Season 10 artists to accomplish that feat.
You might remember him as the guy who was teaching music classes at the House of the Good Shepherd for children who have suffered trauma in their lives. Or for his impressive vocal range.
He wound up advancing to the Top 24 before being eliminated.
