The pop singer from Mount Pocono, Pa., now advances to the Top 10 as a member of Team Adam Levine.
Mark found himself in the bottom two for the second straight week, this time standing opposite Stephanie Rice of Team Alicia Keys.
But based on the graphic showed during the results show, Mark was Voice fans clear choice to remain on the show.
Momentum is building for the young singer, 19 when he auditioned for the show, just as Adam predicted it would.
After failing to crack the Top 200 on iTunes a week ago, Mark landed at number 70 this week with his cover of “How to Love.”
His reaction, via Twitter: “What an amazing night it was!! Thank you all for everything! We made the charts!! Love you guys!!”
Here are the Voice View save-me songs grades:
Stephanie Rice: She sang “Issues.” Interesting song choice. Not the most popular of tunes, but it shows her versatility. And that’s the thing, folks, Stephanie is already an artist with style, identity and so much passion in her music. Mark is still learning to become an artist. Stepahnie wound up turning in an impressive performance in a pressure situation even if I wasn’t thrilled with the song choice. Grade: B–
Mark Isaiah: Well, he started off with a much smarter song choice, “7 Years.” That alone likely drew in lots of vogtes. And, vocally, Mark was doing fine until he tried to go for a big note midway through the performance and missed very badly. Still, a decent job in a pressure situation, even if he seems to lose control when the music soars. Vocally, the weaker of the two save-me performances. Grade: C

Are you really surprised, Mark?
“The Voice” is becoming more and more like “American Idol.”
The cute teen boy contestant outlasts better singers because of the grandmother vote and that despicable Twitter save.
Where is the rage against the Twitter save?
Also, people are voting for the coaches, not the contestants.
Now that Alicia has said she’s outta there, so will her team.
Agree on both counts. 1. Since Season 5, there has just been one female winner — Alisan Porter. And The Voice pretty much contrived that season to make sure a female coach won. Just like Idol and just like the Candice Glover year on Idol. 2. The Twitter save is horrible. And it’s ridiculously unfair to any singer from the West Coast. Unfortunately, I think it’s here to stay.
