If you haven’t checked out Dia Frampton’s “Bruises” album yet, you’re missing out on one of the finest post-Voice releases of 2017.
And now Dia has served up several more reasons to listen.
On Friday, she dropped an EP called “Bruises Raw,” featuring acoustic versions of three of the songs from her 12 track album that came out earlier this year.
Songs getting the acoustic treatment include the glorious “Die Wild,” but my favorite among the new versions is “Out of the Dark,” complete with song-opening harmonies you won’t find on the album versions.
And last week, Dia released the music video for “Crave.” You can check that out below.
It was directed by Andrew Ahn, the same guy who was at the helm of her “Dead Man” video.
Want more? Well, if you live on the East Coast, you’re in luck, because Dia is making a rare visit.
It begins tonight with a show at Jammin’ Java in the D.C. suburbs.
She’ll also be playing Philly (World Cafe Live) on Sunday, Boston (Brighton Music Hall) on Tuesday and New York (The Studio at Webster Hall) on Wednesday.
Castro — yep, Jason Castro’s sibling band — will open for those shows.
