Tony Lucca from The Voice Season 2

* Tony Lucca from Season 2 has released a new single called “Together Again.” He wrote the song via Facetime with Dan Rodriguez, when they were commiserating about having to put their careers on hold because of the pandemic. “We quickly began digging deeper, exploring the bigger picture behind our emotions<" Tony writes on Facebook. "The idea of not being able to tour, travel and earn a living became merely a footnote to the idea of not being able to connect with all the people we are so blessed to encounter on the road. The host families that extend their generous hospitality, the managers and staffs of our favorite venues, not to mention all the friends, fans and fellow music lovers along the way. This one’s for y’all. Hang in there. We’ll be back to normal soon enough."

* Meg & Dia released “Something in the Water” on Friday, complete with a music video. The sisters called it “a song about losing your voice and finding it. A song about stepping into your own power. A song for you.” Dia, of course, is Dia Frampton, the Season 1 runner-up who performed with her sister as Meg & Dia pre-Voice, then reunited in 2019. They’ve been releasing a steady stream of impressive music ever since. The song was written by the sisters and Jonny Shorr. The music video was directed by Jonathan Chou.

* Dwight and Nicole have released a five-song EP called “Further.” Dwight is Dwight Richter. Nicole is Nicole Nelson from Season 3, and the Vermont-based artists have been making music together since before she appeared on the show. Nicole told American Songwriter: ““When we started putting songs together, these five just told our story. Each song hits on pivotal points of our lives over the last couple of years. ‘Further’ is the one that is about redemption. It isn’t wallowing in heartache or too self-indulgent. It is straightforward. It’s a mirror cry to drop all of the bullshit and create something brand new. We are all being called to do that now.”
