New post-Voice releases include singles from Meg & Dia, Mike Schiavo and a short film theme song from Katherine Ho.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases.

* Meg & Dia are back with a new single called “Hotel Room.” It’s about finding beauty in the moment at hand, they write on Instagram. “Sometimes, all you have is someone beside you, a desert sunset, and a whole world of uncertainty. But you can make a home in that uncertainty. Sometimes all you have is an old hotel room, that feels oddly more like home than the place you left behind.” Meg & Dia of course is a duo including Season 1 runner-up Dia Frampton and her sister Meg, who were making music together long before Dia appeared on The Voice. And “Hotel Room” is their sixth single since July.

Mike Schiavo from The Voice Season 10

* Mike Schiavo from Season 10 released “Make Up” on Friday. He says it’s a song he wrote in Nashville three years ago and has loved ever since. He co-wrote it with LVRBOy and Forrest Finn, who also handled production. “Blessed to have written and produced this one,” Finn adds. For Mike, “Make Up” follows “T-shirt” from August as his second release of 2021.

Katherine Ho from The Voice Season 10

* Katherine Ho from Season 10 is the vocalist on the theme song for the short film “Let’s Eat,” released earlier this year. Katherine says the award-winning short film follows “the story of an immigrant mother and her daughter as they navigate through the beauty and challenges of life.” Don’t remember Katherine from The Voice. Maybe that’s because all three of her performances were montaged.
