Just 14 at the time, she performed “Beneath Your Beautiful,” turning the chairs of Kelly and Blake Shelton.

And while she later said Blake made some great points in his “join-Team-Blake” pitch, she just had to pick Kelly. Her 5-year-old self, she said, wouldn’t have forgiven her if she had done otherwise.

That’s because Kelly’s hit song “Breakaway,” introduced to Brynn by her mom when she was young, helped get her hooked on music.

Now Brynn’s the final Team Kelly contestants remaining in Season 14. She’ll go up against Britton Buchanan, Spensha Baker and Kyla Jade for the Season 14 title beginning Monday night.
