Kyla Jade spent nine years touring with and performing with the Bobby Jones Gospel show.

She’s done studio work with Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle and many others.

She toured as a background singer with Wynonna Judd and has spent the last three years singing background for Voice coach Jennifer Hudson.

She auditioned for The Voice hoping to step out of the background.

You might say it’s worked pretty well. She performed “See Saw” during the blind auditions, turning the chairs of Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton.

She picked Team Blake, saying she thought that route would be more challenging and because “I’m all about picking a winning team.”

Her hunch might prove to be right. She’ll be in the Season 14 performance finale Monday night, singing for the Season 14 crown along with Spensha Baker, Britton Buchanan and Brynn Cartelli.

Here’s a look back at Kyla’s Season 14 performances.
