James Graham might have an edge over some of his competitors on The Four for a simple reason. He’s already had singing show experience.

Back in 2014, he successfully auditioned for Season 11 of U.K.’s The X Factor. He wound up being cut, but was saved from elimination when Simon Cowell and company put him in a boy band called Stereo Kicks with seven other singers.

Stereo Kicks went on to finish fifth and released a post-show single called “Love Me So” that charted in the U.K.

But the group disbanded when they failed to land a record deal, and Sussex, England, raised James headed to the United States two years ago.

Since then, he doesn’t appear to have released much music. But he says he has had a chance to work with producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, who has a superstar list of clients, and called that a “priceless” experience.

“What makes me a true artist and really unique is that my voice, when I sing, doesn’t necessarily sound like it should come out of me, which I really like,” James says in a promo clip for The Voice.

“It’s like a 40-year-old man singing out of a 21-year-old’s body.”

James will be one of the original four when “The Four” returns to FOX for Season 2 Thursday night.

Released music: A single called “Viral” in 2017. And “Love Me So” with Stereo Kicks from 2015. You can check out the music video for the latter song below.

James you are absolutely talented great vocals! But The way Ali treated you tonight was very rude. I believe she doesn’t deserve to move on. Yes, she has great vocals but with her being stubborn and rude she won’t get far in the music industry because no one will want to work with her. When I become a singer I sure would not want to work with her I would definitely work with you. But this isn’t my opinion, thank you for your time. Best wishes and all the love. You’ll make it!
