Latin pop singer Stephanie Zelaya hails from Guatemala and calls “The Four” a wonderful opportunity.

“That’s a small country,” she notes. “You really don’t have the opportunity to showcase your talent to the rest of the world.”

Not that Stephanie hasn’t enjoyed some pretty high-profile moments as an independent artist, including opening for Enrique Iglesias, Alejandro Sanz and Il Volo, according to her Facebook bio.

She also released an independent album about three years ago, funded through an Indiegogo campaign that reached its initial goal in just three days.

Stephanie, who moved to Los Angeles in March 2013, says her grandfather inspired her to pursue music.

She says her musical influences include Celine Dion, Laura Pausini, Rosana, Lionel Richie and Sanz.

And she’ll occupy one of the four seats when The Four on FOX returns Thursday night at 8 p.m.

Released music: A Latin pop album called “Es Un Viaje” (“It’s a Trip”) in 2015. She’s also released two Latin singles since, “Bastaba una Mirada” (2017) and “Haste Que Amanezca” (April). You can check out the music videos for both of those songs below.
