For the second straight season, Kelly Clarkson has lost one of her artists on The Voice.

Cody Ray Raymond left the show between the early August filming of the battle round and the mid-August filming of the knockout round.

The 27-year-old from Tacoma, Wash., is apparently fine.

He was promoting The Voice on social media as recently as a week ago.

And he and his band performed a show in Milton, Wash., over the weekend.

He confirmed his departure from the show with a Facebook post Thursday evening, writing: “To all my supporters and new fans, thank you all for the love sent my way on my journey so far, but due to personal matters my chapter with The Voice has come to an end. I’m well and my family is well. Stay tuned for new music coming!”

You might remember Cody Ray as the guy who joined the military out of high school and wound up being based near the North Pole.

He turned two chairs in the blind audition with his cover of “Born Under a Bad Sign” by Albert King and opted to join Team Kelly.

In the battle round he bested Sandy Redd — at least by Kelly’s estimation — during their performance of “Cry to Me.”

Sandy, the only four-chair turn recipient on Team Kelly at the time, was stolen by Jennifer Hudson.

Judging from spoilers posted elsewhere, Cody Ray’s departure will apparently mean a three-way Team Kelly knockout round match between Zaxai, Natasia Greycloud and Kymberli Joye.

You might recall that in Season 14, Kelly landed HannaH Goebel during the blinds after she turned four chairs.

Hannah left the show for “personal reasons” prior to the battles.

Hannah returned to social media several weeks after her departure from the show was announced to congratulate winner Brynn Cartelli and proclaim herself “finally the happiest me I’ve been my whole life.”

She’s also released three singles since August — “Talk to Me,” “Where’s a Man When You Need One” and “Heartstrings.”
