The Voice shortens window for fan voting

0

Wondering how to vote for your favorite during the live playoffs on The Voice?

Actually, the rules are very simple for week one of the live shows.

The biggest thing to know is that the standard overnight voting window has been shortened.

East Coast residents, for instance, used to be able to vote from the time the show started (8 p.m.) until noon the day after a performance episode.

Voting still starts when the show begins. The end deadline for votes is now 7 a.m. and the same 11-hour voting window applies regardless of the time zone you live in (West Coasters, for instance, have to finish voting by 4 a.m.).

This week, there are just two methods for voting, via The Voice website and The Voice app.

You can get the app for free from the App Store or Google Play.

To vote on The Voice website, simply go here. You’ll have to sign in using a Facebook account or email address.

Oh, and this is important. You can vote 10 times per artist per valid email address by both methods.

That’s important, of course, because most folks have more than one valid email address.

Things get more complicated next week when the Top 13 perform, so stay tuned for those instructions.

Just a heads up in case you missed a blog I posted yesterday. Apple Music/iTunes voting is undergoing a major change this year. Follow the link to learn more.
