And the 15-year-old returned to The Voice stage during Tuesday’s Season 15 finale with a new single on a new record label.
The new record label is Atlantic, the same label her mentor and Voice coach Kelly Clarkson is signed to.
The new single is her self-penned “Last Night’s Mascara,” which sounds like it could be the first breakout hit for a winner of the show.
Brynn, from Longmeadow, Mass., was just 14 when she auditioned for The Voice, but had turned 15 before winning Season 14.
She also enjoyed success with “Walk My Way,” the winner’s single released in conjunction with The Season 14 finale.
Fueled by fans voting for her, the song bolted to number three the day after the Top 4 performance show aired.
But it quickly faded from the charts.
Brynn released the accompanying music video earlier this fall, but appears poised for bigger success with her first Atlantic single.
After a single performance on The Voice — the no voting attached — the song rocketed to number 26 on the iTunes overall singles chart by midnight.
That type of reaction and impact is the primary reason I get so mad that more past contestants aren’t rewarded with guest spots on the show.
