That Top 20 song was called “Doll,” written from the perspective of a young woman tired of being treated like a plaything by her boyfriends.
The catchy new song, which you can check out below, is about a guy who clearly appreciates his queen and her talents.
Adanna, a Season 3 contestant on The Voice at age 15 and a Top 11 finisher on American Idol at age 18, wrote both songs.
And she recently offered advice on the power of positive thinking to fans on her Instagram account.
“Positive self talk can have the same power as negative self talk if you let it,” she writes. “I am very good at identifying with my shortcomings & replaying the same negative stories that I’ve been speaking over myself since a young age. It’s strange how sometimes we can be so mean to ourselves for no reason.
“Next time a negative thought about yourself crosses your mind, try counteracting it with a positive thought that you ACTUALLY do believe about yourself.”
You can head to Adanna’s Instagram for the full message. Here’s “King.”
