But she headed straight for the Comeback Stage.
And in a video The Voice posted immediately after the show, Savannah advanced to the semifinals with a battle round win over Nathan and Chesi Arnett.
The Arnetts sang “Drift Away” by Dobie Gray for this battle and did a fine job with the song.
But Savannah countered with “She Used to Be Mine” by Sara Bareilles, and the teen delivered a tender and lovely ending to an emotional song.
Comeback Stage Coach Bebe Rexha said as much in announcing her as the winner, saying she felt a special connection when Savannah performed and complimenting her on an “absolutely beautiful” voice.
Savannah now advances to the Comeback Stage Semifinals. Eventually, Babe will send one singer back to The Voice main stage to sing for an instant save and a chance to rejoin the live portion of the competition.
Season 16 marked the debut of the Comeback Stage on The Voice, and it was restricted to artists who failed to turn a chair during the blind audition.
This year, three contestants eliminated during the battle round will get a second chance via the Comeback Stage. Savannah is the first of those.
