Former The Voice finalist Lauren Duski with her granddad in her new music video.

Her grandfather stars in the video, which is appropriate since she wrote the song about her grandparents’ love for one another.

And the former Voice runner-up shot and edited the video on her iPhone.

As for the song … “Growing up, I witnessed the greatest love story,” Lauren writes in the lead-up to the video. “My grandparents were best friends for 65 years.

“And when we lost my Grandma over Christmas in 2017, I realized there was something even more heartbreaking than losing her — watching my Grandpa live in a world without her.”

“The Weather” is the closing track on the “Midwestern Girl” EP Lauren released in February.

There’s other news for Lauren fans as well.

She’ll be heading out with Lukas on a series of 12 tour dates this fall, starting Oct. 22 in Seattle and ending Nov. 10 in Boston. Tickets are available through Lauren’s website.
