Joanna Serenko, from St. Louis, made it to the Top 9 on The Voice Season 18.

Joanna Serenko, a Season 18 standout on The Voice, dropped her first post-show single this weekend.

It’s called “Good Side,” and it’s about a girl who keeps putting up with her guy’s antics because she sees his good side.

The song pre-date Joanna’s time on the show, according to her social media posts about the release.

And she credits fellow artist Kate K-S for helping her refine the song.

“It’s been almost a year since this recording, but I remember it like it was yesterday,” writes Joanna. “Heart still broken, singing of hard lessons learned in that past year, and transforming it into song was the purest form of healing.

“Looking back at the little Jo who wrote this a year ago, I wish I could tell her all the things she’s gonna do.”

That includes turning four chairs with her Voice blind audition performance of The Beatles “All My Loving.”

Joanna, 18 at the time of that audition, opted to join Team Nick Jonas, but spent time on Team John Legend and Team Blake Shelton as well, advancing all the way to the semifinals before being eliminated.

Here’s “Good Side” on Apple Music and on Spotify.
