The final seven spots in The Voice Season 15 knockout round were locked down Tuesday night.

Team Blake Shelton took shape as he advanced Kirk Jay and Kameron Marlowe and stole Funsho from Team Adam Levine.

Also advancing were Sarah Grace and Claire Dejean of Team Kelly, Kennedy Holmes of Team Jennifer Hudson and Deandre Nico of Team Adam.

I was a little surprised Kennedy and Kirk wound up being montaged. they were four chair turns during the blind auditions.

And I was disappointed to see Kennedy’s battle round opponent, 15-year-old Lela, bumped from the show. Loaded with charisma, she brought a Latin flavor that’s now missing on the Season 15 cast.

The knockouts begin Monday night. And, if you haven’t heard, Mariah Carey will be the knockout round adviser for all four teams.

Here’s why I think that’s a terrible idea.
