What do you do when you’re off on a two-year mission in South America and need a video for your new single?
You turn to one of your fans for help, apparently.
At least that’s what David Archuleta did for the new video for his song “Don’t Run Away.”
The video is entirely animated and was put together by 22-year-old Kylie Malchus of Murray, Utah.
Kylie explains that she made an animated video for another of his songs, “Elevator,” a couple of years ago, purely for fun.
The video made its way to David, so when an artist was needed for “Don’t Run Away,” he turned to her.
Kylie says she’s been working on the video “pretty much every second I was awake.” After all, it took about 500 drawings to create the video.

Meanwhile, David’s fine new album, “No Matter How Far,” is being released today.
Gotta say, I think the lead single is my favorite track from the album. I love the way David’s voice soars on the chorus. And from the bridge on, the vocal is simply amazing.

Gotta admit I’m loving Heart Falls Out. It’s catchy and I love the turned around lyrics. Although I’m with you on Don’t Run Away too. Another great song. What another wonderful gift from David while he’s gone.

Favorite? I’m not sure if I’ll be able to pick one, at least not this soon. I’ve been loving most of the songs already then became obsessed with Don’t Run Away when it came out (this guy can SANG!). I held off listening to Heart Falls Out till I downloaded it and Oh Boy! This is a very, very good album. No throw away songs! I’ll have to get back to you. 🙂
