The American Music Awards are Sunday night on ABC (8 p.m.) and performing live on the show will be Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry and, of course, Adam Lambert.

Idols nominated for awards include Daughtry as favorite adult contempoary artist and Carrie as favorite female country artist.

Adam, whose debut CD hits stores Tuesday, rehearsed for his performance Thursday at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, and The Associated Press provided the following photos from that rehearsal.
