“King” is the intoxicating new single from the former Voice and American Idol contestant.

It also the latest in an impressive string of singles from Adanna, who writes her own music and has been releasing it independently.

“I wrote this song about the kind of man I see myself with (one day in the faaaar future it seems because God is playing games lmaooo),” Adanna writes on Instragram.

“It was also intended to uplift men because we are in a time when it’s way too popular to tear them down. My favorite line is ‘masculinity so secure and you don’t have to prove it to your boys cause you’re pure.’

“I know so many awesome men … my brothers and all my idiot male friends who I admire and who make me laugh so much. This wasn’t written about anyone in particular, just the silhouette of a man that I see in my head because I’ve never come across this feeling before; I’ve only seen it in other relationships and it gives me hope that I want to spread! Hopefully, this makes someone feel bubbly inside.”
