American Idol announces summer tour dates

American Idol just announced its summer tour dates.

And folks from this area should circle Aug. 24 on their calendars.

That’s the only time the Idols will be in this area.

For now, at least, annual stops in Baltimore and D.C. are not part of the Idol itinerary.

The Aug. 24 show is at the Sovereign Center in Reading.

No word yet on when tickets will be on sale.

All of the top 10 will participate on tour, plus Aubrey Cleland, winner of the sing-off with Charlie Askew.
