American Idol fans picked a Top 5 Sunday.
And, somewhat shockingly, viewers sent home Catie Turner, who has racked up more YouTube views on her performance videos than any Season 16 contestant.
The other singer to head home was Jurnee, leaving a Top 5 of Caleb Hutchinson, Cade Foehner, Gabby Barrett, Maddie Poppe and Michael J. Woodard to battle it out for a spot in the finals.
Did fans get it right?
Not in my opinion. I would trade Michael for budding pop star Jurnee in the Top 5 in a heartbeat. She outsang him in both of her performances Sunday night, and they weren’t even her best performances on the show.
Catie? She had a rough night Sunday. And it had nothing to do with her reluctance to hug Nick Jonas.
