The American Idol judges finalized the Season 16 finalists Monday night.
But not without a couple of surprises.
Apparently, even in this age of female empowerment, a potential male heartthrob (aka Garrett Jacobs) has more value than a teen with a golden tone (aka Alyssa Raghu).
Joining Garrett in advancing on Idol: Mara Justine, Jurnee, Maddie Poppe, Marcio Donaldson, Ada Vox and Caleb Lee Hutchinson, all worthy selections.
That meant the end of the Idol road for Alyssa, Amelia Hammer Harris, Shannon O’Hara, Effie Passero and Ron Bultongez.
