The American Idol summer tour kicks off tonight in Redding, Calif.

And a quick check of Ticketmaster shows you can still get tickets to most of the early show dates, though the Friday show at the Uptown Theater in Nappa, Calif., appears to be a near sell-out.

The summer tour will feature the Top 7 from ABC’s first season of American Idol, including winner Maddie Poppe and runner-up Caleb Hutchinson.

Also on that tour from Idol Season 16 — Gabby Barrett, Cade Foehner, Michael J. Woodard, Jurnee and Catie Turner.

Idol Season 8 winner Kris Allen will serve as host.

In Real Life, winner of ABC’s 2017 “Boy Band” show, will open on most tour dates through Aug. 10, but not on the tours later East Coast dates.

And the tour will be making plenty of stops in the area, including Aug. 12 at The Lyric in Baltimore, an Aug. 14 show at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, Pa. (Philly suburbs) and a tour-ended Sept. 16 stop at the Warner Theater in D.C.

Then there’s a Wednesday, Sept. 12, show at the York Fair Grandstand. Tickets for that show range from $15 to $30 and are available here, with an opportunity to upgrade for a VIP experience that includes a meet and greet with the Top 7.

Once booked at major venues throughout the U.S., the American Idol tour waned in popularity during the show’s final years on FOX. There was no tour following Season 15, the show’s final season on that network.

This year’s tour will stop in 47 cities. For ticket links for all the shows, head here.
