The coaches on The Voice have said she has the potential to win the show.

The iTunes results would indicate that’s the case.

Even though she needed a steal to advance to the live playoffs that begin Monday.

I’m talking about Amy Vachal, one of the newest members of Team Adam.

She lost her Team Pharrell knockout round match to Madi Davis; that’s how she wound up on Team Adam.

But her cover of “Sunday Kind of Love” was the most popular of the 20 knockout round songs released to iTunes.

That means Amy has cracked the iTunes’ Top 200 in all three rounds of the competition.

She had the second most popular song from the blind auditions when her cover of “Dream a Little Dream” hit number 45 on iTunes. Only Andi & Alex did better, hitting number 36 with their version of “Thank You,” and they’ve since been eliminated.

As it turns out, of the 20 knockout round songs that were released, 15 cracked the iTunes Top 200. The list is below. The chart position indicated is where the song stood on the chart at noon EST the day after it was performed on the show. That’s typically when voting ends for a live show on The Voice.

Oh, and here’s a curious piece of trivia. Twelve singers hit the iTunes Top 200 with their blind audition songs. Seven of them — Andi & Alex, Ellie Lawrence, Sydney Rhame, Krista Hughes, Blind Joe, Cole Criske and Lyndsey Elm — have since been eliminated.

That’s what happens when you film battles and knockouts well in advance of their air date. Coaches have to make elimination decisions before they can see how an artist is going over on iTunes. I’m pretty sure if the coaches had that information, at least Andi & Alex would still be singing on The Voice stage.

Follow the links below and you’ll find an updated profile blog on the singer.
