Audra McLaughlin released her music video for "Boomerang" on Thursday.When Audra McLaughlin released her new single “Boomerang,” she said the song really came to life for her during the music video making process.

Well, the video for “Boomerang” landed Thursday, debuting on Vevo.com.

In it, Audra falls for the ultimate bad guy. In fact, he turns out to be downright criminal.

But don’t worry. Audra gets the last word.

Steve Jawn directed the video, which was produced by 1010 Creative.

In a Facebook live chat with fans, Audra jokes that the “guy in the video is super cute. I definitely didn’t mind that.”

As for the video’s message: She’s hoping it helps her fans “move on” from lovers who are holding them back.

Audra was a Top 8 finisher on Season 6 of The Voice. She released a debut single (“Tennessee Cowboy”) in late 2015 and an EP the following April.

But “Boomerang” is easily her most addictive release yet. As for the video release …

“This is the most excited I’ve been since The Voice,” Audra told fans on Facebook Thursday morning.

Audra, who’s from the Philly area, has a lot of shows coming up around her hometown, beginning with a Friday night gig at the 39 North Bar & Grill in Glenolden.

And on April 18, she’ll be performing pre-show for the Faith Hill and Tim McGraw concert at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly.
