New post-Voice music out this week includes singles from Audra McLaughlin, MacKenzie Bourg and Suzanna Choffel.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases.

The links below take you to the songs on Apple Music.

Or you can check out the Spotify snippets below.

* Audra McLaughlin, Top 8 on Season 6, released her first single in more than two years last week. It’s called “Drinking with Lonely.” “This song comes from a vulnerable place that I once felt,” she writes on Facebook. “I am excited that I am finally getting the creative control to write songs from the heart. I believe in writing about the truth and experiences you have Been through or maybe witnessed someone close to you go through.” Sounds like more will follow from Audra. She says she’s been writing material for an upcoming project for a year.

* MacKenzie Bourg from Season 3 released the feel-good single called “Good Day” on Friday. It’s his first single in two years. But he also announced that he’s signed with Peach Records, which describes itself as an artist-first record label based out of Los Angeles, London and Hamburg, Germany. Right now, Bourg is one of six artists signed to the label. MacKenzie, armed with his guitar named Luna, says more music is on the way. You might recall that MacKenzie finished Top 20 on Season 3 of The Voice, then auditioned for Season 15 of American Idol and did even better, finishing fourth.

* Suzanna Choffel from Season 3 released the quirky “Quarantine Valentine” earlier this month. If you’re thinking she’s a month late … well, not really. Suzanna first released the song to Bandcamp last month with 50 percent of the proceeds going to Heart to Heart International, which helps provide free COVID vaccines, PPE equipment and disaster relief. She was also using the song to promote her new Patreon page. And she released an accompanying video. On the real Valentine’s Day.
