Well, I guess Burnell Taylor and Lazaro Arbos had better hope they don’t land in the bottom spot on American Idol anytime soon. Because they won’t get a judges save.
Devin Velez figures he probably paid the price for that dismal group performance Wednesday night. He took the stage with Burnell Taylor and Lazaro Arbos and they launched into “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch).”
Two American Idol finalists will be participating in the annual white House Easter Egg Roll, set for Monday. Jordin Sparks will perform on the Rockin’ Egg Roll Stage. Jessica Sanchez will sing the national anthem.

American Idol managed to cram three guest performances in Thursday night’s results show. We heard Colton Dixon’s latest single, “Love Has Come for Me” from his album, “A Messenger.”
All three remaining guys in the bottom three? A male singer going home for the third straight week to start the finals? For just the second time in American Idol history?
The folks at X Factor just announced that Demi Lovato will be back for Season 3. So that’s two spots on the panel filled.
Only once in American Idol’s previous 11 years have voters sent home three guys to start the finals. It happened way back in Season 1, when A.J. Gill, Jim Varraros and EJay Day were the first to depart. If there’s any justice in the world of singing shows, it’ll happen again tonight.
The American Idols took on tunes from Motown Wednesday night. Or at least tunes recorded by artists who have a Detroit connection. Because I don’t think Madonna music qualifies as Motown, and one of her tunes was included in Wednesday’s offerings.
