I’ve been singing the praises of The Voice throughout Season 3, primarily because the show has been doing most everything right. Unfortunately, on Monday, it got almost everything wrong.
The Top 4 on The X Factor will each perform twice in the semifinal show Wednesday night. Each will perform a song of their own choosing and one selected by the judges.
Cassadee Pope did it again. And, for that matter, so did Terry McDermott and Nicholas David, though not quite as well as Cassadee.
Carrie Underwood took a pair of honors and Lauren Alaina won one at the American Country Awards, televised on FOX Monday night. The big winner of the night was Luke Bryan, who took honors for Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and won at least five other awards as well.
I wish I could provide hints on what the Top 4 on The Voice will sing tonight. But Christina Milian didn’t do individual interviews with the artists the way she has two of the past three weeks.
Season 10 American Idol Scotty McCreery will return to the area in 2013, performing at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster. Tickets for the show are $63 and go on sale Dec. 21. Just in time to make a Christmas gift for a Scotty fan, right?
At about 10 p.m. tonight, fans of the top four on The Voice will head to iTunes and start downloading the latest songs from their favorites. If you’re a new fan of Cassadee Pope, Nicholas David or Terry McDermott, you might not realize there’s other music to be had from that talented trio.
Three American Idol alumni will be up for honors when the American Country Awards airs Monday night on FOX (8 p.m.). That list, of course, includes Carrie Underwood.
The final four on The Voice take the stage Monday night with a spot in the Season 3 finals on the line. All of the singers will likely take the stage twice for solo numbers.
Disney World in Orlando, Fla., unveiled a new multi-million dollar Fantasyland expansion on Thursday. And the star performer was American Idol Season 6 winner Jordin Sparks, who entertained fans with a medley of songs from Disney movies.
