Multiple sites are reporting that former American Idol finalist Leah LaBelle and Rasual Butler both had alcohol in their system at the time of a January crash in Los Angeles that claimed both of their lives.

Butler, 38, was a 13-year veteran of the NBA and was driving a Range Rover when he lost control at about 2:30 a.m. on Jan 31. The vehicle jumped a curb, hit parking meters and a concrete wall before flipping twice and landing in a shopping center parking lot.

Butler and LaBelle, 31, were pronounced dead at the scene. Police cited speed as a factor in the crash.

Autopsy reports say a heart sample taken from Butler indicated a blood alcohol level of 0.118, above the legal limit while a leg sample showed a BAC of 0.62, which is below the legal limit, according to TMZ. The site said LaBelle’s BAC was .144.

The autopsy also revealed Butler had marijuana, methamphetamine and oxycodone in his system at the time of the crash.

LaBelle appeared on American Idol at age 16 in 2013, finishing 12th.

Eight years after her Idol run, Leah resurfaced with a trio of singles — “What Have We Got To Lose,” “Sexify” and “Lolita” — with Epic Records and was reportedly working on a debut album with L.A. Reid (yep, the former X Factor judge) and Pharrell Williams.

“Lolita” hit the Top 10 on Billboard’s dance club songs chart, but the album never materialized.
