Carrie, Taylor do battle at the top of the country charts

Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood might have missed out on Female Vocalist of the Year honors at the CMA Awards Thursday night.

But they continue to duel at the top of the country singles chart.

And, for the third straight week, Taylor is on top with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”

“Blown Away” remains the second most popular country single in the land and also gets bumped from number one on the country airplay chart by Lee Brice’s “Hard to Love.”

Meanwhile, Carrie’s album by the same name is still in the top 10 on the country albums chart 26 weeks after its release and moved up from 25 to 20 on the Billboard 200 this week. It previously topped both of those charts.

Elsewhere on the music charts:

* Scotty McCreery’s “Christmas With Scotty” album was bumped down to number two on the holiday album chart by another country act, Lady Antebellum. Scotty’s album is still number five on the country album chart.

* Phillip Phillips’ “Home” is all the way back up to number 14 on the Hot 100, a three-spot jump, and reached a new peak of number three on the adult pop song chart.

* With virtually no help from the show she won a year ago, Melanie Amaro’s “Don’t Fail Me Now” has climbed to number 12 on the dance/club play chart. It was number 16 last week.
