Grammy nominated Cassadee Pope on the set of the Voice.

Cassadee Pope will try to make Voice history tomorrow night by becoming the show’s first former contestant to win a Grammy.

She’s already the show’s first Grammy-nominated artists. Not counting the superstar coaches, of course.

Cassadee is nominated in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her “Think of You” duet with Chris Young.

She reflects on that experience and her time on The Voice in a new video exclusive posted by the show.

She also talks about how “Think of You” came about.

“I had an acoustic show with Chris Young in Florida,” she recalls. “He heard me sing and liked what he heard so I got ‘Think of You’ — the demo — in an email one day.

“Of course, I said ‘yes’ because I love Chris Young. But I also just loved the song.”

Before it became a Grammy-nominated song, it became a number one country hit, also a first for a former contestant from the show.

It’s turned out to be quite the weekend for Cassadee, who won The Voice back in Season 4.

She also tweeted that she’s now engaged to longtime boyfriend Rian Dawson.

As for the Grammys, they air Sunday night on CBS. Wondering about the competition Cassadee and Chris face.

Also nominated for Best County Duo/Group Performance are “Different for Girls” by Dierks Bentley and Elle King, “21 Summer” by Brothers Osborne, “Setting the World on Fire” by Kenny Chesney and P!nk, and “Jolene” by Pentatonix and Dolly Parton.

Now, here’s the video of her visit to The Voice.
