Cassadee PopeCassadee Pope fans will find a new song available for download Tuesday (July 8) on iTunes.

The song is a cover of “Animal in Me” and it’s part of a tribute album to Motley Crue by the Nashville Outlaws.

That’s right, less than two years removed from winning Season 3 of The Voice, Cassadee hasn’t only gone country — she’s now a Nashville Outlaw.

The album, expected to be available in mid-August, will consist of country singers covering 15 songs recorded by the hard rock band fronted by Vince Neil.

In fact, Vince is a featured vocalist on the other track available now, a cover of “Home Sweet Home” by Justin Moore.

Other artists involved in the project include Rascal Flatts, Florida Georgia Line, LeAnn Rimes and Darius Rucker.

Recording a rock tune wasn’t too much of a stretch for Cassadee. She fronted a pop rock band — Hey, Monday — before going solo.

Said Vince Neil of Cassadee’s cover: “I’m just shocked somebody found this song. It’s one of my favorites on the “Saints (of Los Angeles)” album. For someone to say, ‘Yeah, I wanna do that song’ is pretty exciting.”

Added Nikki Sixx: “She just really nailed it.”

Here’s a video of Vince and Nikki talking about the album and Cassadee’s contribution.
