If you’re not at David Cook’s York Fair concert Friday night, you can watch another of the season seven stars performing from the comfort of your living room.
David Archuleta, last year’s Idol runner-up, will be one of the performers at the ALMA Awards, which celebrate the achievements of Latinos in music, television and sports. The show will be broadcast at 8 p.m. on ABC.
I haven’t seen any mention of what David will be singing. But if you need more incentive to watch, the ALMA site boasts that Shakira will be singing her new hit, “She Wolf” (the number 11 song in the land, according to Billboard).
I’m pretty sure David won’t be singing one of the songs from his new Christmas CD, which is just my way of squeezing into this blog the fact that it’s now available for pre-order.
Other performers for the ALMA Awards include Nelly Furtado and Pitbull. George Lopez and Eva Longoria Parker will be hosting.
David and tour buddy Demi Lovato are also on the list of nominees for music awards.
Last weekend, David performed “America the Beautiful” at the U.S. Open. The photos in this blog are from that event, and you can watch the performance in the video below.
