New post-Voice music out this week includes songs from three male singer-songwriters fans should remember.

Former champ Josh Kaufman, former finalist Tony Lucca and former four-chair turn James Dupré all have new songs out.

Here’s a quick look at those releases. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music. Or you can check out the Spotify snippets below.

* Josh Kaufman, the Season 6 champ, released the soulful “Lie to Me” Friday. It’s his first single of 2020. Could it be the start of a larger project? Writes Josh on Instagram: “A while back I posted this picture with only the caption “The River Deep” to let you know that something was coming. Well, it’s finally coming soon. First little bit (meaning ‘Lie to Me’) on March 6.” Josh has released a pair of EPs and a 2019 album “NDOXO Vol. 1” since winning The Voice.

* Tony Lucca from Season 2 released another fine single Friday called “Might as Well Be Mine.” It’s a co-write with frequent collaborator Billy Montana. Writes Tony on Instagram: “After having a remarkable conversation about iconic moments in cinema, we came up with a scenario, filled with some timeless imagery surrounding the end of a relationship, as told by a very regretful man. A quintessential ‘woe-is-me’ tale, rooted of course, in our shared anecdotal past.” If you missed it, also check out “Beautiful Woman, Happy Man,” a song Tony released last month.

* James Dupré from Season 9 released a new country single called “You’re Probably Drunk Right Now” on March 3. He co-wrote the song about lovers at odds; Grammy-nominated Matt McClure produced the song. It’s James’ first release of 2020, but more new music is on its way, according to his website.
