Juliet Simms, runner-up on The Voice Season 2, released a new single Friday

Juliet Simms, runner-up on The Voice Season 2, released a new single Friday.

Juliet Simms has released an intense new music video and a rocking new single.

The song is “100 Little Deaths” and it follows “Bad Love” as her second release since signing with Sumerian Records earlier this year.

Half of the new music video features Juliet performing “100 Little Deaths” rock star style.

That’s interrupted with scenes of Juliet tied to a chair and being held captive while being brutally beaten and bloodied by a masked tormentor.

Keep watching ’til the end. There’s a twist coming.

Nylon premiered the music video Thursday, and here’s what the Season 2 Voice runner-up told the site about her new song.

“This song means a lot to me because it speaks to my experiences with my personal demons and the fight to overcome them. I see the struggles that so many people battle with every day, and I wanted to share a piece of myself with them.

“Life is made up of failures and triumphs, convictions and doubt. The key is to find the ability and strength to turn off the destructive tendencies and grow stronger because of them.

“My weakness, at the end of the day, is something that has made me stronger and more resilient. The little deaths we all experience while living our lives is a test of our strength, our endurance and ability to keep moving forward.

“You can let it kill your soul or you can use the death as a badge of honor, rise back up, and become immortal from the kill.”

Here’s the music video for “100 Little Deaths.”
