And she certainly cuts loose vocally on the rock-edged track and spends part of the music video trying to break her way out of a straitjacket.
The song is from Clarissa’s recently released eight-track album “Hey Hey.”
As far as I can tell, that album is only available from Clarissa’s BigCartel.com site at this point. (Editor’s Note: In February, the album hit digital download sites as well.)
But two tracks — “El Dorado” and “Let Me Down Easy” — have been released to iTunes as singles.
And Clarissa also released music videos for “El Dorado” and “Mind Your Business.”
Clarissa celebrated with a CD release party at Brewster Street Icehouse in Corpus Christi, Texas, in late December and wrote on Facebook that 2017 was “a year of learning, traveling, getting out of my comfort zone and sacrificing a lot to accomplish my goals. I can’t wait for what this new year has in store for us and I can’t wait to share it with YOU!”
Clarissa, from Corpus Christi, was 27 when she auditioned for Season 6 of The Voice and turned all four chairs with her cover of “Zombie.”
She joined Team Shakira and advanced to the second battle round — yep, there were two that season — before being eliminated.
You can follow Clarissa through her Facebook page and website.
