New post-Voice music out includes singles from a pair of former finalists and from a singer we barely met on the show.

Here’s a bit about those new singles, which come courtesy of Chris Mann, Jacquie (Lee) and Andrea Thomas.

The links take you to the songs on Apple Music. Or you can check out the Spotify snippets below.

Chris Mann, the Season 2 finalist, has been making great use of his quarantine time, releasing a series of coronavirus-related parody covers that have gone viral. “My Corona” alone has 6.5 million views on YouTube; “Hello (From the Inside)” has 11 million. Now he’s back with an original, “Old Fashioned,” a song “about the swagger of keeping a relationship old school, classic, fun and not too serious … Little did we know this would be our actual date night life in 2020 quarantine.” Best of all, there’s a fun music video of Chris and his wife acting out the song, complete with dancing on their bed.

Jacquie, runner-up on Season 5 as Jacquie Lee, continues a prolific 2020 with a new single called “Chances.” Writes Jacquie: “Chances was created during a time I was becoming aware of a pattern that I kept falling into. I subscribed to unhealthy relationship with others and myself. The song has taken on many different shapes and meanings to me through the course of my life so far. I wrote it years ago and, looking back at it now, I can’t believe how much I’ve grown.” Read her full message here. The single is her third of 2020 and follows an EP she released in January.

Andrea Thomas from Season 12 has released an empowering new single called “Dragon Slayer,” her first since 2017. Andrea says when she was growing up, her father gave her a sense of “immeasurable value,” but that faded over time and was replaced with self-doubt. She wrote “Dragon Slayer” five years ago with David Spencer and calls it “an anthem to awaken the sleeping giant I know is inside of me. I am born to breakthrough and conquer. I am born to bring light in a world of darkness. I am born to destroy the evil works of the dragon.” Don’t remember Andrea from The Voice? Maybe that’s because all her performances were montaged.
