Clinton Washington of The Voice planning debut EP

Clinton WashingtonClinton Washington, a Season 8 contestant on The Voice, is in the midst of a Pledge Music campaign to help fund a debut EP.

And, remember, Clinton is a former Voice contestant with south-central Pennsylvania ties. Pre-show, he was male lead singer for Traces of Eden, a modern country cross-over band based in Mechanicsburg.

On The Voice, Clinton is best remembered for a fabulous battle round duet of “Stay” with eventual finalist India Carney.

Pharrell called it the best battle round performance to that point in the season. Christina Aguilera declared India the winner, but Clinton was stolen by Adam Levine before bowing out of the competition in the knockout round.

Clinton was 26 when he auditioned for The Voice and landed a spot on Team Christina. He’s planning an EP of five to six songs.

He’s already provided fans with snippets of two tracks, a ballad called “Frozen” and a first single called “Hearts Beat Louder.”

As for the Pledge Music campaign, so far, he’s a little more than 25 percent toward reaching his goal. There’s about a month and a half left in the campaign.

Of course, he’s offering goodies to contributors. Find out more by heading here.
