The Voice captured its second Emmy Award Sunday night during the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.

And winning an Emmy is a feat no other U.S. singing show has accomplished, even American Idol during its heyday.

This year, The Voice was going up against Top Chef, Dancing With the Stars, The Amazing Race, So You Think You Can Dance
and Project Runway in the Reality Competition Program category.

It’s a category that has been dominated by The Amazing Race, which had won all but two times since the category was created in 2003.

The exceptions: 2010 when the honor went to Top Chef and 2013 when The Voice claimed its first Emmy.

The hit NBC show has now been nominated for an Emmy three straight years.

American Idol was nominated every year from 2003 to 2011, but failed to win each time.

Meanwhile, congrats are pouring in on Twitter from past contestants.

LukeWadeMusic: “Congrats @NBCTheVoice on a job well done!!! Glad I could be a part. #Emmys”

RaeLynn: “Congrats @NBCTheVoice on your #Emmy ❤️❤️❤️ love Yall all so much. Thank you for helping me get started in country music. #teamblakeforever”

And, from Blake Shelton: “I heard @NBCTheVoice won an Emmy!!!!!! Yeeeeee Haw!!!!!! Congrats to all my Voice family!!!”

I’ll add my congrats. And thanks, The Voice, for introducing us to such talented artists, season after season after season.
