American Idol opened its final audition episode by introducing us to a couple of talented country singers.
It ended it by introducing us to its first-ever drag queen contestant, Ada Vox, who previously auditioned for the show — and made the Top 50 — as Adam Sanders in Season 12.
Ada wowed the judges with a cover of “House of the Rising Sun” and left the audition room with a golden ticket and some advice: Get serious.
After all, Hollywood is the next stop. And it’s always been considering one of the most rigorous parts of the Idol process.
The talented country singers included Gabby Barrett, a Pittsburgh gal who’s a big Carrie Underwood fan, and Drake Mulligan, a former Elvis impersonator who’s not used to performing as himself.
Both made major impressions on judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and Katy Perry.
