Curtis Grimes from Season 1, a Texas country artist, released a 10-song, self-titled Christian album on Friday. And you might say it was well-received, vaulting to the number one spot on the Apple Music Christian albums chart. Curtis celebrated with an album release show at Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas, and has a bunch of shows scheduled on an album release tour, including one in nearby Charleston, W.Va. Curtis released “Friends” in the lead-up to the album, and it’s been streamed 2 million times on Spotify.

* Valerie Ponzio from Season 12 released an excellent single called “Slightly Obsessed” on Friday. As in she’s slightly obsessed with a guy and wonders if he’s noticed. She co-wrote the song with producer-bass player Mike Minjarez, and it’s Valerie’s first release in about two years. She thanks Rissi Palmer and Color Me Country Radio for “making it possible for me to release new music & for breathing encouragement & validation into my musical soul this last year!”

* Jared Blake from Season 1 is back with a new single called “Damned” and it continues his string of impressive releases. In his first TikTok, Jared explains that it’s a song about he and his wife Jennifer and some struggles they went through. Says Jared: “We’ve got a love like no other, but we’re not without our faults, and this song kind of tells that story.” The couple recently celebrated their sixth anniversary.
