Denton Arnell’s time on The Voice ended with a Team John Legend battle round match that aired Monday.

But there’s no question the 31-year-old from Chicago had a memorable run on the show.

He landed a spot on Team Legend with a cover of “Hold On, We’re Going Home” by Drake, proposed to his girlfriend Tiffany after that performance and received compliments from the coaches for his battle round cover of “Grenade” with Julian King.

Denton, who released an album last year, says new music is in the works.

Oh, and by the way, the wedding is being planned for the fall of 2020.

Voice Views: The battle round was filmed in January. What have you been doing in terms of music or the entertainment industry since then? Has there been a specific post-Voice experience that stands out so far?

Denton: Since the filming of the battles, I’ve been working on future shows, new music content, business strategies, meetings with PR, management, marketing teams, as well as finalizing things for my mentorship / music & arts organization.

Voice Views: Where do you see your time on the show leading you musically? What do you have planned next? Do you think you’ll be releasing new music in the future and, if so, what can fans expect in terms of sound/timing? For instance, you had released an album called “Collision Vol. 1” last year. Is Volume 2 in the works?

Denton: The time on the show opened major doors of progression in my career. My plans are to capitalize the platform that was given to me, and work hard to keep myself relevant. I plan on doing an actual album release concert for my “Collision Vol. 1” album, and releasing a few new singles within the next 2-3 months. “Collision Vol. 2” is in the works as we speak.

Voice Views: Do you think you grew as an artist as a result of The Voice experience? If so, in what way?

Denton: I absolutely have grown because of my Voice experience. I’m more confident, business minded, I’ve gain better vocal control, and a greater level of professionalism.

Voice Views: Is there anything else you’d like to add about your experience on the show?

Denton: I’ve gained new relationships, friendships and family from this show. This experience was by far a life-changing impact.
