The single is called “Watching and Waiting” and hit iTunes yesterday.

It’s the second single she has released, following “Gasoline” in 2012, which you can hear below.

As for album, Didi is asking for your help.

The 27-year-old California resident has launched a Pledge Music campaign to encourage fans to donate for the cause.

Rewards are available for donors, ranging from a signed copy of “Gasoline” ($12 pledge) to an executive producer credit ($5,000). And everyone who donates will get a digital version of the album before it’s released to the public.

“Reverie came to be through years and years of writing, living in Los Angeles, going through crazy things,” Didi says of the upcoming album. “It like pages from my diary.”

The album is being produced by Billy Mohler, “who captured this unique sound I wanted to bring to life,” Didi adds in her Pledge Music video.

Mohler predicts people will be pleasantly surprised when the album arrives.

“I think a lot of people would be prepared to hear a sort of blown-out pop record from anybody that was on American Idol, but they’re not going to get that from this album,” Mohler says.

“You have to be innovative, and you have to take risks, and that’s what Didi did on this record,” he adds.
