Nicole and Josh Johnson of Elenowen

That string started late last year with the single “The Way I Am.”

And it continued last month when Josh and Nicole Johnson released “Hiding Place.”

“This song is extra special to us,” Josh and Nicole write on the Elenowen Instagram account. “We hope it makes you feel less alone. We hope it encourages you to open up to those you love and trust, and to make yourself more loving and trustworthy.”

The singles mark the first releases for Elenowen since their January 2015 album “For the Taking.”

After that, they put original music aside for a couple of years while focusing on family, Josh explains in an After The Voice video. The couple have two young sons, Nolan and Zeke.

In a recent Facebook Live chat, he also says Elenowen will be releasing a single a month for the next three months.

And the duo released a lyric video for hiding place that you can check out below, filmed on the day of the 2017 eclipse.

Elenowen was the first duo ever to appear on The Voice. They were eliminated in the Season 1 battle round.

They had released an album before the show. Since, they’ve also released the album, a self-titled EP and a pair of stand-along singles.
