Season 9 Voice contestant Lyndsey Elm released her first post-show single — “Nothin’ on Me” — last week.

And she tells Voice Views more new music is on the way.

With the help of fellow Season 9 Team Gwen contestant Tim Atlas as producer, she recorded a four-track EP called “Onward.” Lyndsey says she plans to release it digitally later this month or in early May. Physical copies of the EP will be available at all of her shows.

“I’m so excited with the finished product. (Tim’s) incredible and really helped me take the vision I had for each song and turn it into a reality,” she said.

“‘Nothin’ On Me” is the single off of that EP and it gives a little insight on who I am and what my sound is.”

Lyndsey, from Vacaville, Calif., made a splash on Season 9 of The Voice when she turned four chairs with her blind audition rendition of Meghan Trainor’s “Lips Are Movin’.” You can watch it here.

She bowed out of the competition a couple of weeks later, losing a Team Gwen battle round match though she seemed to turn in the better performance.

No hard feelings on Lyndsey’s part.

She calls herself “extremely thankful” for her time on the show, saying it gave her an opportunity to learn from pros in the music industry.

“I grew as an artist, and it established the fact that pursuing music is what I need to be doing.

“When the season aired, my hometown and surrounding areas jumped on board my team so fast, the support has been overwhelming in the best way. The Voice gave me exposure and a platform to get my songs out there and make a living doing what I love to do.”

as for that single, she calls it “the perfect kiss-off song,” though that wasn’t really the initial intent.

Lyndsey explains on her website.

“I wrote this song as an answer to the question, “If all of my fears, doubts, and insecurities became a person standing in front of me, what would I say?’

“The beauty of music is you can interpret lyrics however you’d like — it could be the perfect kiss-off song to a horrible boss or your ex …just sayin’.

“But in the end, I hope you feel empowered and encouraged to never let fear hold you back from chasing after a dream. You’re enough. You’re worth it. You have what it takes. Now get out there and go for it!”
