She just might wind up hitting number one with her debut album too.
Released Friday, “Goldmine,” 13 tracks strong — it includes two versions of “I Hope” — was still embedded at the top of the Apple Music country albums chart Monday morning.
The title track is actually the only one Gabby didn’t have a hand in writing.
But the 20-year-old said she chose “Goldmine” for a title because she equated laboring in a goldmine to hard work.
“And I feel like with this album, I have worked very, very hard to get these songs finalized and done and writing over the past two years – and I really feel like I’ve dug for these songs, she explained.
“And I feel like, with these 13 tracks, I’ve struck my own little goldmine.”
Fans are clearly liking what they’re hearing from the gal from Pittsburgh, who finished third on American Idol Season 16.
Check out some of the reaction on Facebook:
* Emily Rob Hutchinson: “This album is awesome I can truly say I actually listened to every song and liked them all very good work gabby!”

“Goldmine” indeed.
Gabby just announced a live online performance and Q&A — “Live from the Goldmine” set for 7 p.m. Tuesday eastern time. Head here for details.
Here’s “Footprints on the Moon,” one of the gems among the newer songs on the album.
