it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer than expected for that long-awaited debut album from Halo Circus.

Allison Iraheta and the band have pushed back the release date by about a month.

Originally expected on May 27, the album — called “Bunny” — will now be released on June 24. Allison announced the news in a Facebook post over the weekend.

Allison attributed the delay to “circumstances beyond my control” and apologized to fans.

“As you know, we can’t get the new album out soon enough and cannot wait to start touring,” she wrote. “The good news is that we’ll have time to get some cool things happening and bring you new music along the way.”

There is other good news. Halo Circus turned to the crowd-sourcing site Road Nation to help set up a summer tour.

The results? The band will be stopping in 30 cities on its upcoming tour. Funded tour stops include Philly, D.C. and nearby Columbia, Md.

Allison is planning a Facebook question and answer session with fans this coming Friday at 5 p.m. eastern time. She’s promising information about the album and the tour.

In the meantime, the lead single from the upcoming album, “Desire,” is already on iTunes. Halo Circus released the accompanying video in March.

Halo Circus performed another song from the album, “Guns in Our Hands,” on Ruben Jay Live recently. You can watch that performance in the video above.
